It was, overall, a pleasant trip. I got to see my family, bought my first "good" phone, took care of business, saw Alice in Wonderland in 3D twice, drove my car (which I miss terribly), held my five month old baby brother and got a terrible sunburn with my best friend.
This is a picture I took of my beautiful state (FL), which was warm and lovely, albeit a bit rainy, while I was home.
Now I'm back, and that's pleasant too. I don't really have much to say, but I want to get back into the habit of writing blogs, so I'll just talk about what has been going on and what needs to start going on.
My roommate, my neighbor and I are looking for a house together next year and for part of the summer. We're making plans like getting jobs in the city and filing for loans and it confuses me everyday that I am an adult now and that this is my life. Responsibility, at this level, was sudden and new, but not unwelcome. I honestly feel like it's time to spread my wings and find my own place in the world. Being home helped solidify that idea, I want to be in control of my life.
This week will be fun. We're reading Hamlet in Humanities and watching the Kenneth Branagh version of the play tonight. I'm going to clean my room (gulp) and stay on top of my reading. I'm going to get an insurance quote for my car so that I can bring it here and look at places to rent. I'm going to be responsible. It's going to be great.
