There isn't much to say right now but, considering I just edited a previous blog and am on the site, I may as well post something new for my loyal fans.
I think I'm also going to start a twitter, as if enough people read this thing for that announcement to be necessary.
Hah.
Anyway, Shimer's spring break is coming up and my apartment is throwing a luau to kick it off.
Sweet? You bet.
Nothing says 35 degree spring break like Hawaiian shirts and bamboo floors. The IS2 midterm is due first though--it's one of the only classes here that has a midterm and final, but, given the nature of the course it seems somewhat necessary to make sure everybody is on board through a method more formal than simply asking "do you understand?"
It's only four questions, though. Four intense questions, and one extra credit. I have about half done. It's good stuff. To give an example of the kind of work, question one is, (from memory), as follows:
Undefined terms: Point, Line.
Create a system with at least 4 and no more than 6 postulates that are all consistent and independent. Make sure to incorporate at least one defined term as well.
Go! Go! Go!
