My friend back home has been bothering me for pictures of our campus, so I took them today. They're not great, I took them on my phone. I remember wanting to see more pictures of IIT's (the school's campus that we're on) campus before I came here and I'm sure some of you at home are interested, so enjoy!
This is the field between the Shimer building and the architecture building, Crown Hall. IIT's campus has some very unique architecture.
This is the large library, the Galvin. Shimer also has its own library.
This is a large field near the IIT registration building, and an IIT science building.
This is the MTCC (McCormick Tribune Campus Center). It houses a 24-hour 7-11, IIT's bookstore, the Pritzker Club (a sit-down restaurant), the cafeteria, Center Court (another eating option), the radio station, the mail room, an arcade and many offices. The Green Line for the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority, the train) runs over the building. There is a Green Line stop on campus.
This is the end of our Nat Sci 2 class today. Stuart (the facilitator) on the left, Bev (a facilitator who was sitting in), then Kieran. The tables are large and octagonal and really well suited to eight people (which has been my average class size so far).
Also, my roommate and I ate something odd tonight. Chocolate noodles with berries and strawberry cream cheese.
Lovely pictures. When I was in College before, I usually take shots of the bathroom, bidet seat, shower room, and the like in our campus. It is because I have this notion that when these things are well-maintained, it is a good campus. Its students are disciplined and well-bred :)
