Health on Campus - Student Health Services

    Spring is blooming, flowers are popping up everywhere. The campus is beautiful. So, of course, my allergies are rearing their ugly heads. (When I blow my nose it sounds faintly dinosaur-esque.)
    Help is not far away though. In fact it's mere minutes away from my classes on the Shimer floor in the IIT Tower. From the IIT website:

IIT Tower is a 20-story concrete and glass building--the only mixed-use, high structure of its kind in the area. University Technology Park at IIT and a variety of mixed-use tenants, ranging from social and government agencies to research startup companies, currently occupy the building. Also located within the Tower is IIT Research Institute, which provides non-clinical research and development services to the United States government and sponsors in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemical industries.     On the fourth floor of this almost-skyscraper are the Student Health Services offices. There is a physician and several nurse-practitioners to see students during the week by appointment (although walk-ins are always available for those really in need of immediate care).
    Counseling services are available in the next office over. Both offices take Aetna student insurance as well as many other insurance providers and has payment options for those without insurance coverage.
